Seal of Wyoming

The Great Seal of the U.S. state of Wyoming was introduced by the second Parliament in 1893 of the State and revised by the 16th Parliament in 1921.

Description

In the center of the inner ring of the seal is a woman with a staff in his right hand. At this rod is attached a banner with the state motto:

Wyoming was one of the states that equal rights for men and women still called in the 19th century.

Both the left and right of the woman stands a pillar, decorated with banners. These banners are labeled with the fundamentals of the economy Wyoming: top left is animals ( " livestock " ), bottom left grain ( "grain" ), right above mine ( " mines" ) and the lower right oil ( " oil"). Both columns carry a lighted lamp, which symbolizes the light of knowledge.

In front is a shield with stripes, the number 44 and a star. The number 44 refers to the fact that Wyoming, the 44th state of the USA was. Is an eagle above the shield.

On both sides of the shield are annual figures. For one, the 1869, in which the Wyoming Territory was founded, and the other is the 1890, which became the State of Wyoming.

Supporters are a miner on the right side and a farmer on the left.

On the outer ring of the seal is the English inscription:

The seal is also on the buffalo body in the flag of Wyoming.
