Seal of Montana

The seal of the U.S. state of Montana was introduced in 1865, when the present U.S. state was United States territory.

Description

The inner ring of the seal shows the landscape of Montana and the typical equipment of the settlers in the time of the first settlement.

History

The design of a seal was given by the management of the Montana Territory in order. The seal should represent elements of nature as well as the economic potential of the territory.
