Si Bun Rueang District

Amphoe Si Bun Rueang ( Thai: อำเภอ ศรีบุญเรือง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southwest of the province Nongbua Lamphu. The Nongbua Lamphu province lies in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are (from north clockwise): the Amphoe Na Wang, Na sound, Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu and Non Sang in the province Nongbua Lamphu, the Amphoe Nong Na Kham and Si Chompoo in the province of Khon Kaen, and Amphoe Phu Kradueng, Pha Khao and Erawan in Loei province.

The Maenam Pong ( Pong River ) is a major river in the district.

History

The area of present-day county was formerly called Ban Non Sung Plueai and was in Tambon Yang Lo of Amphoe Nongbua Lamphu in the province of Udon Thani. On July 16, 1965, the government set up from the sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Si Bun Rueang, which was promoted on March 1, 1969 Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Si Bun Rueang is divided into twelve subdistricts ( tambon), which continues in 153 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Non Sung Plueai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนนสูง เปลือย ) consists of the whole Tambon Mueang Mai,
  • Chom Thong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล จอมทอง ) consists of parts of the tambon Si Bun Rueang.
  • Non Sa -at ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนนสูง เปลือย ) consists of the whole tambon Non Sa -at,
  • Yang Lo ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ยาง หล่อ ) consists of the whole tambon Yang Lo,
  • Nong Kae ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง แก ) consists of the whole tambon Nong Kae.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
