State of Mexico

México (Spanish Estado de México, sometimes short Edomex ) is a central state of Mexico. Geographically it forms the main part of the valley of Mexico. It is located around the capital Mexico City, but not one of them, as it provides a federal district. Its capital city is Toluca. The vast majority of residents live in settlements around the capital, the largest Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl is.

It has an area of 22,499 km ² and about 15 million inhabitants. Further subdivided Administratively the state in 125 municipios.
