The Time of the Oath is the seventh studio album by the German metal band Helloween. It appeared in 1996 at Castle Communications.

Creation and publication

After fresh start in 1994 with Master of the Rings, the band occupation remained stable. Already in 1995 a new album was recorded. All band members have contributed compositions at, Jørn Ellerbrock and Tommy Hansen played a the keyboards, the latter also served as producer. The Time of the Oath appeared on 29 February 1996 and was the former drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg dedicated, who had committed suicide a year.

Style

Stylistically, the album builds on its predecessor. So Helloween play power metal with catchy choruses and riffs as well as many melodic guitar solos. The album was recorded mostly positive from the press.
