The Virgin Tour
The Virgin Tour was the first tour of the U.S. pop singer Madonna. It took place in the spring of 1985. Although at first concerts outside of North America were planned, the tour was only held in the U.S. and Canada. The set list consisted of songs from Madonna's first two solo albums Madonna (1983) and Like a Virgin (1984). The stage was designed by her brother Christopher Ciccone.
As the opening act came on the Beastie Boys.

Live - The Virgin Tour
On 13 November 1985 a live recording of the tour on VHS was released. This was recorded at the gig in Detroit on May 25. The live video reached number one in early 1986, the U.S. music video charts and developed in the USA, the best-selling music video of the year. For over 200.000 units sold, it was awarded with 2x platinum.
Sometimes is even a version appeared on laserdisc; a publication on DVD is not yet done.
