Torbjørn Sindballe

Torbjørn Balle (born 21 October 1976) is a former Danish triathlete.

Career

He started in 1991 at the age of 15 years with triathlon as an athlete and his nickname was "Thunder Bear".

In 2002 he was in Nice Vice World Champion on the long distance triathlon. In 2004, he was long-distance world champion and he could repeat this success in 2006. End of June 2009 Torbjorn Balle was forced to retire from active competitive sports because of a heart valve defect.
