The HC Traktor Chelyabinsk (Russian ХК Трактор Челябинск ) is an ice hockey club established in 1947 the city of Chelyabinsk. The team plays in the Kontinental Hockey League and wearing their home games at the new 7,500 -seat ice arena tractor. The club colors are black and white.

History

The club was founded in 1947 as Dserschinez Chelyabinsk. In 1954 it was renamed the Avangard Chelyabinsk, before four years later the present name was chosen Traktor Chelyabinsk (after the resident tractor factory Tscheljabinski Traktorny Zavod ).

The biggest success in club history celebrated Chelyabinsk in 1977 with the third place of the Wysschaja League and in 1993 with the third-place achievement of IHL is reached. Previously, the team winning the title of Perwaja League had been granted in 1968. After the team was relegated from the Super League in 1999, it was not until 2006, winning the championship of the Wysschaja League and the resurgence associated with it. Since the 2008/ 09 season, the team will take part in the game mode of the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League.
