The Tyndall Air Force Base ( AFB Tyndall short ) is a base for the U.S. Air Force, about 10 km south east of Panama City in Bay County, Florida. At the same time she is a census -designated place (CDP ) with 2,994 inhabitants ( 2010).

The base is part of the Air Education and Training Command ( AETC ) of the USAF trained there crews of F -15 and F -22 fighter aircraft. History

The Air Force began in May 1941 with the construction of the airfield in swampy landscape. He was given the name Tyndall Field, according to Lt. Frank B. The average annual income was $ 43,074, while 10.3 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 92.14 % of the population spoke Spanish 5.02% and 2.84 % had a different mother tongue.
