Václav Daněk

Vaclav Danek ( born December 22, 1960 in Ostrava ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Danek began his career in 1979 at Banik Ostrava. From 1983 to 1985, the striker played for Dukla Prague, and then returned to Ostrava. 1986/87 he won with 24 hits, the top scorer.

In 1989 he moved to FC Swarovski Tirol in the Austrian league. 1990/91 he was there with 29 goals scorer. Danek moved to Le Havre AC, but returned after only one year to Innsbruck, where he met with 24 goals was again top scorer in 1992/93. 1995 ended the Czech his pro career and joined the division of Lower Austria to SC Retz, where he played until 1999. In the small town near the Czech border, he came only to a training during the week and traveled at the weekend to the games.

For the Czechoslovak national Danek made ​​22 games in which he scored nine goals.

Coaching career

His coaching career began Danek in the season 1998/99 as an assistant at FC Karviná. 1999/ 00 he exercised this function at Banik Ostrava. The following season, he took over the juniors from Banik. From 2001 to 2003 he coached the B team in the third Czech league. In the first half of the 2003/04 season he was coach of the first FK Drnovice for the return lap, he moved on to league rivals FC Vitkovice. The end of 2004 joined Danek for Slovak club Dukla Banská Bystrica, with whom he won the Slovakian Cup 2004/ 05.

The end of 2005 he returned to the relegation-threatened FC Vitkovice and could keep up with the team the class. After the first round of the 2006/07 season he was dismissed for lack of success. From July 2007 to September 2008 Danek coached the then second division Fotbal Fulnek. As of 2010, takes over as coach Danek at second division FC Hlučín.
