VelemÃn
Velemín ( German Wellemin, also Welemin, in the 18th century Welmina ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. The village is located seven kilometers northwest of Lovosice and is part of the North Bohemian Okres Litoměřice.
Geography
Velemín located in linkselbischen Bohemian Uplands. The village is from Milešovský Potok ( Milleschauer stream ), a tributary of the Elbe, flows through. South-west rises the Ostry ( sharp stone ).
Neighboring towns are Bily Újezd in the north, and Chotiměř Oparno in the east, the south and Brezno Milešov in the West.
Traffic
Through the village leads the state road I / 8 Until the completion of the highway D8 end of 2014, this part of Europe 55, whose heavy traffic in transit and especially since 1990 earned the place significant impairments in quality of life, as well as sales in the restaurant industry. East of the village is with the breakpoint Chotiměř access to the railway line Lovosice - Teplice of the North Bohemian Transversal.
History
The first written mention of Wellemin dated 1227th A gothic castle with moat of the 14th century consisted in the north- east of the village. Half of the village (later the whole place ) Velemín belonged to the noble family Kaplíř ze Sulevic which sold the place in 1480 to Jindřich z Vencelík Vrchoviště. Previously belonged to the second half of the village to the monastery of St. George at Prague Castle. Already in 1508, the castle is desolate.

The community Velemín consists of the districts Bílinka ( Bílinka ), Bily Újezd ( Weißaujezd ) Boreč ( Boretz ), Brezno ( Praised ), Dobkovičky ( Dubkowitz ) Hrušovka ( Ruscholka ) Kletečná ( Kletschen ) Milešov ( Milleschau ) Oparno ( Wopparn ) Režný Újezd ( Rezny Aujezd ) and Velemín ( Welemin ). Basic settlement units are Bílinka, Bily Újezd Boreč, Brezno, Dobkovičky, Hrušovka, Kletečná, Milešov, Oparno, Páleč ( Palitsch ) Režný Újezd Velemín I and Velemín II to Velemín also include the location locations Mlýnce ( Leinitz ) and Zbožná ( Boschney ).
The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Bily Újezd Boreč u Lovosic, Brezno, Dobkovičky, Kletečná, Milešov u Lovosic, Oparno, Páleč u Milešova and Velemín.
