Vražkov

Vražkov ( German Wraschkow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south of Roudnice and belongs to Okres Litoměřice.

Geography

The village is located on the southwestern foot of the Rip and will brook crossed by Vražkovský. On the western outskirts of Vražkov the route of the D8/Europastraße 55 highway takes you past the next exit 29 " Roudnice " is located in the north. Through the town, the railway runs from Roudnice nad Labem to Louny where there is a train stop in Vražkov.

Neighboring towns are Vesce, Rovné and Krabčice in the northeast, Ctiněves in the east, in the southeast Mnetěš, Straškov - Vodochody in the southwest, Račiněves in the west and Kleneč in the northwest.

History

Vražkov probably originated in the mid-11th century. The first mention of the place in one of Gustav Friedrich 1907 in Volume 1 of the Codex diplomaticus et epistolaris regni Bohemiae evaluated collection of old and Soběslav II confirmed documents from the archive of the Vyšehrad Chapter, the Friedrich as deeds of Vršovci from the time Bořivojs II. 1100-1107 could be dated. After eradication of Vršovci by Svatopluk II in 1108, this being in possession of Nemoj Vršovec appropriated and Vrascov got to the Přemyslids. It is believed that the name of the places of its founders, the Vršovci derived.

Piecewise was Vražkov ownership spiritual masters. 1174 had the Vyšehrad Chapter the court including a vineyard and from 1187 the monastery Doksany received the largest part of the village.

The northern district below the Rip belonged to different noblemen and since 1440 there is a fortress. In the Thirty Years' War, the Saxons destroyed the village in 1631. Here also the festivals fell desolate. After Bohuchval Valkoun had sold Adlar of his property to the Dominican Monastery Mary Magdalene on the small side, was 1650-1652, the repopulation of the village. 1672 bought Wenzel Lobkowicz Eugen Raudnitz on the northern portion to his reign. Until the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1848, it remained at two dominions, Raudnitz in the north and in the south Doxan. 1850 lived in Vražkov 408 people who subsisted on agriculture.
