Wagenhoff

Wagenhoff is a municipality in the district of Gifhorn in Lower Saxony. The church is a member congregation of the Wagenhoff Samtgemeinde beings village.

Geography

Geographical Location

Wagenhoff lies between the Southern Heath Nature Park and the Elm Lappwald. To Wagenhoff heard another north-west of the village situated dwelling place, there stood the tavern " crookedness ".

History

Wagenhoff was founded in 1927, named after Eugene of Wagenhoff, District Administrator of Gifhorn. Previously there 1914/15, a prisoner of war camp was built.

Religions

In Wagenhoff there is no church. The Evangelical Lutheran inhabitants belong to the parish of St. John in essence village, these uses in Wagenhoff the Christ Chapel on the municipal cemetery. The Catholic inhabitants belong to the parish of St. Mary in Wittingen, this has a church in the village closer to nature.
