Waldenburg District

The Waldburg district is an administrative unit in the canton of Basel-Country with capital Waldenburg.

Geography

The Waldburg district extends in the upper Frenkental, which is also called Waldenburgtal in the hills that belong to foothills of the Jura. It is the most rural district of Canton, which is in absolute contrast to the urban-influenced district Arlesheim.
