Washakie County, Wyoming

Washakie County is a county located in the state of Wyoming in the United States. On 1 July 2005 Washakie County had 7,933 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Worland.

Geography

The county has an area of ​​5,809 square kilometers; which 7 square kilometers of water. It is bordered clockwise to the counties: Big Horn County, Johnson County, Natrona County, Fremont County, Hot Springs County and Park County.

History

The county was founded in 1911. It was named after the Indian Chief Washakie.

Demographic data
