History

Weiler Bach ( 1007-1062 First mentioned ) and Reifenberg ( first mentioned in 1140 ) belonged to the Bishopric of Bamberg, which was in the Frankish Empire Circle from 1500. With the Imperial Diet of 1803, which places came to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria emerged with the community of 1818 the municipalities of Upper Weilersbach, Unterweiler Bach and Reifenberg. The three independent municipalities joined on 1 July 1970 in the area of ​​reform to the community Weilersbach together.
