Yan Ta Khao District
Amphoe Yan Ta Khao ( Thai: อำเภอ ย่านตาขาว ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Trang. Trang Province is located in the southern region of Thailand.
Geography
Adjacent counties and regions are ( from south clockwise): Amphoe the Palian, Kantang, Mueang Trang and Na Yong in the province of Trang and the Amphoe Srinagarindra and Kong Ra Phatthalung Province.
History
Yan Ta Khao was ( King Amphoe ) was established on 1 January 1948 initially as a small district under the administration of Kantang. It originally consisted of six Tambon - Yan Ta Khao Nong Thung Khai Bo and were of Kantang, Na Mueang Trang and Chum Het of Nai Khuan and Phrong Chorakhe of Palian separated. On June 5, 1956 Yan Ta Khao got the full Amphoe status.
Management
Amphoe Yan Ta Khao is divided into eight subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 65 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
Yan Ta Khao ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ย่านตาขาว ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Khao Ta Yan.
In addition, there are eight " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
