Huai Yot District

Amphoe Huai Yot ( Thai: อำเภอ ห้วยยอด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Trang. Trang Province is located in the west of the southern region of Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Ratsada the province of Trang, Amphoe Thung Song of Nakhon Si Thammarat, the Amphoe Pa Phayom and Si Banphot Phatthalung Province, the Amphoe Mueang Trang and Wang Wiset turn in Trang and Amphoe Bang Khan again in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.

History

Huai Yot Khao was originally called Khao ( Thai: เขา ขาว ). It received its current name in 1939.

Management

Amphoe Huai Yot is divided into 16 subdistricts ( tambon), which continues in 133 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Huai Yot ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ห้วยยอด ) consists of parts of tambon Huai Yot Khao Pun and,
  • Na Wong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา วง ) consists of parts of Tambon Na Wong, Bang Kung and Wang Khiri,
  • Lam Phu Ra ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ลำ ภู รา ) consists of parts of the tambon Lam Phu Ra,
  • To Thung ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ทุ่ง ต่อ ) consists of parts of Tambon Thung To and Pak Khom.

There are also 15 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
