1999–2000 Serie B
The 1999/2000 season of the series B was launched on August 29, 1999 and ended on 11 June 2000. Besides Vicenza Calcio Napoli Erstligaabsteiger, Brescia Calcio and Atalanta promoted to the Serie A on. Three of the four league newcomers immediately went out again. The fourth climber, AC Pistoiese, was able to prevail in nearly two playout games against AC Cesena and so celebrate the league. Scorer was Cosimo Francioso of Genoa with 24 goals this season.
