2008–09 KNVB Cup

The KNVB Cup in 2008/ 09 was the 91st edition of the Dutch football cup competition. It began on 30 August 2008 with the first round, which was attended by only amateur teams. From the second round of the professional teams in the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie participated.

By the final victory on penalties against Twente Enschede first time was the SC Heerenveen win the cup.

2nd round

The second round was held until September 25 from September 23. Participants were the 24 winners of the first round (all amateur teams ), as well as two youth teams (winner of the National Youth League and the national youth cup competition ) and all professional teams in the first two leagues.

Round 3

The matches of the third round took place until November 13, November 11th.

Second round

The fourth round were played from January 20 to January 28.
