2013–14 KNVB Cup

The KNVB Cup 2013/14 is the 96th edition of the Dutch football cup competition.

A total of 82 teams in the competition part: the 35 clubs of the two professional leagues ( without the three reserve teams playing there ) and 47 amateur teams that have qualified either through their performance in the top echelon or in the regional amateur cups.

The first round was held on 28 August 2013. The final will take place on 20 April 2014, Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam. Defending champion AZ Alkmaar. The winner will qualify for the playoff round of the UEFA Europa League 2014 /15 campaign.

First round

In the first round played 36 of the 47 qualified amateur teams; the rest were put on athletic success the previous season, or byes to the second round.

Second Round

In this round, the 35 professional clubs from Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie and the eleven set up an amateur teams; the 64er field was completed by the 18 winners of the first round. Teams that competed in a European cup competition, could not be drawn against each other. Amateurs had against professional teams home advantage (in this round ).
