2008–09 Slovenian Hockey League season

The season 2008/ 09 of the Slovenian Hockey League was held with a total of ten teams, which are added joined in the playoffs the two Slovenian participants in the Austrian Erste Bank Hockey League. For the first time took the KHL Medveščak Zagreb and the KHL Mladost Zagreb also two Croatian teams in the championship part. Slovenian champion of HK Jesenice, who was able to defend his title in the final against the HDD Olimpija Ljubljana.

Regular season

Playoffs

The teams ranked one through eight were qualified for the playoffs. In eighth - and quarter-final opponents were determined for the two teams involved in the EBEL who came to the semi-finals. These two prevailed against the semi-final participants of the Slovenian League and determined the Slovenian champion among themselves. With a 4-0 in the final series, this was the HK Jesenice.

In the semifinals, the two EBEL teams were joined.
