2009–10 SPHL season

The 2009/10 season was the sixth regular season of the Southern Professional Hockey League. The seven teams completed in the regular season of 56 games each. The point of best team in the regular season were the Mississippi Surge, while the Huntsville Havoc for the first time won the President's Cup in the play- offs.

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

  • The Richmond Renegades stopped the game operation.
  • The Twin City Cyclones stopped the game operation.
  • The Louisiana IceGators were added as an expansion team in the league.
  • The Mississippi Surge were added as an expansion team in the league.
  • The Pensacola Ice Flyers were added as an expansion team in the league.
