2009–10 International Hockey League season
The 2009/10 season was the 19th and last regular season of the International Hockey League (until 1997 Colonial Hockey League, United Hockey League until 2007 ). The seven teams completed in the regular season each 76 encounters. The point of best team in the regular season were the Muskegon Lumberjacks, while the Fort Wayne Komets won the Turner Cup in the play-offs. After the season, the IHL merged with the Central Hockey League, after the 2010/11 season five of the seven teams from the IHL were included in the CHL.

Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Kalamazoo Wings changed in the ECHL.
- The Dayton Gems were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Quad City Mallards returned after two years of inactivity back in the league.
