1999–2000 United Hockey League season
The 1999/2000 season was the ninth regular season of the United Hockey League (until 1997 Colonial Hockey League). The 14 teams completed in the regular season per 74 encounters. The point of best team in the regular season were the Quad City Mallards, while the Flint Generals in the play- offs the Colonial Cup won for the second time.

Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Fort Wayne Komets of the International Hockey League were included as an expansion team in the league.
- The Madison Kodiaks were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Missouri River Otters were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Madison Monsters have been to Knoxville, Tennessee, moved and changed their name to Knoxville speed.
- The Thunder Bay Thunder Cats have been to Rockford, Illinois, moved and changed their name to Rockford IceHogs.
- The Winston -Salem Icehawks been to Glens Falls, New York, moved and changed their name to Adirondack Icehawks.
- The Saginaw Gears were according to Massillon, Ohio, relocated in December 1999 and changed their name to Ohio Gears.
