Defending champion Jarmila were Gajdošová and Matthew Ebden, who were unable to defend her title this year and were eliminated in the semifinals. The winner was unseeded French-Canadian pairing Kristina Mladenovic / Daniel Nestor. For Daniel Nestor was the third overall victory in mixed doubles at the Australian Open after 2007 and 2011 and the fourth overall mixed- major title.
