2015 Cricket World Cup

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is the 11th edition of the Cricket World Cup is played in the most important for the trophy in cricket. The World Cup will be held in the One- Day International format, in which each team plays each innings over a maximum of 50 over. The event will be held in Australia and New Zealand early 2015.

Qualification and participants

In addition to the ten Test nations further four participants should be determined by the ICC World Cricket League 2009-2013 or the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2013. This was, however, suspended by the ICC, since at this tournament only the 10 Test nations should participate. The decision has end of June 2011 but revised again because of protest by the Associate Members, so that a further four teams can qualify the ICC. Two more were determined in a qualifying tournament in 2014 in New Zealand.

In addition, the top two teams in the ICC World Cricket League Championship 2011-2013:

Furthermore, the two teams that have qualified in New Zealand at ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2014.
