Alevtina Kolchina

Alevtina Pavlovna Koltschina (Russian Алевтина Павловна Колчина; born February 11, 1930 in Pavlovsk, Perm Oblast ) is a former Russian cross-country skier. It belonged in the 1950s and 1960s to the competitive skiers. In her long career, she was able to win five Olympic medals.

At the Olympic Winter Games 1956, she won with the Soviet squadron its first medal (silver). In 1964 she won about five kilometers bronze and with the relay gold medal. At age 38, she again took in the Olympics in Grenoble and bronze over five kilometers in the relay.

Two times was able to win the title over 5 km and 10 km at World Championships Koltschina, with the season, it was three-time world champion. In 1963 she was honored as the first Russian woman with the Holmenkollen medal. She was married to the cross-country skiers Pawel Koltschin.
