Alma Lusa

Alma Lusa was a Portuguese band that was founded specifically for the Euro Vision Song Contest.

The band members were: Inês Santos ( vocals), Carlos Jesus ( Portuguese guitar ), Henrique Lopes (percussion ), Carlos Ferreirinha ( cavaquinho ), Pedro Soares ( bagpipe ) and José Cid (accordion).

By a jury verdict, the group sat at the Festival since Canção 1998 against eight competitors through and was therefore entitled to take the Euro Vision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham for their homeland. The folk -tinged pop Se eu te pudesse abraçar it reached # 12 After the competition, the group split up.
