Fernando Tordo

Fernando Travassos Tordo ( born March 29, 1948 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese singer.

As a 18- year-old he sang in Portuguese Beat Band Sheiks, from 1968 he has been active as a solo artist. He took from 1969 to 1972 every year on the Festival da Canção part but without a victory. At the festival in 1973 but he won and was therefore entitled to compete in the Concours Euro Vision Song Contest 1973 in Luxembourg for his country. His hit Tourada reached a tenth. In 1975 he founded together with, inter alia, Paulo de Carvalho, Ary dos Santos and Carlos Mendes the record company Toma Lá disco.

Along with the band Os Amigos won Tordo again in the preselection and was thus a second time at the Euro Vision Song Contest. At the competition in 1977 whose title was in 14th place
