Andreas Jämtin

Andreas Jämtin ( born May 4, 1983 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with Linköpings HC in the Elitserien since November 2008.

Career

Andreas Jämtin began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of AIK Solna. From there he moved to Färjestad BK, for the first team, he made his debut in the Elitserien in the 2000 /01 season. In his only use he stuck to it point by point and with impunity. He was then selected in the fifth round in the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 as a total 157 players from the Detroit Red Wings, for which he, however, never played. Instead, the winger to AIK Solna returned, with which he descended in the 2001/ 02 season in the HockeyAllsvenskan. In the second division, he remained another year before he joined the 2003/04 season the HV71. With the team from Jönköping he immediately became Swedish Champion. The 2005/06 season began the links contactors with TPS Turku in the Finnish SM- liiga. However, in January 2006, he returned already back to back HV71, with which he again won the Swedish championship title in the 2007/ 08 season.

In June 2008, signed Jämtin a contract with the New York Rangers, for their farm team, the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League and the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL he initially but came only to be used, and he in November 2008 back to its Swedish returned home, where he was obliged by Linköpings HC, for which he has performed since then.

Internationally

For Sweden Jämtin took at junior level at the U18 World Youth Championship 2001 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2002 and 2003 in part. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championship 2011 in Slovakia, where he won the silver medal with his team.

At the World Championships in 2013 in Stockholm and Helsinki, he was again part of the national team and won the gold medal with this.
