Andreas Karasiak

Andreas Karasiak (* 1968 ) is a German classical tenor in opera and concert. Since 2007 he is a professor of singing at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz.

Life

Andreas Karasiak studied voice at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz Claudia Eder. He studied complementary baroque music at the Schola Cantorum in Basel with René Jacobs.

In 1999, he sang at the National Theatre Mannheim especially Mozart roles as Tamino in The Magic Flute, Ferrando in Così fan tutte and Belmonte in The Abduction from the Seraglio.

In the field of historical performance practice he employees along with Gustav Leonhardt, Marcus Creed and Philippe Herreweghe. He is a soloist in the project of Ton Koopman and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir to record the complete works of Dieterich Buxtehude, which was started in 2005. He also worked with conductors such as Helmuth Rilling or Sylvain Cambreling.

1998 and 2007 he was the tenor soloist in Hermann Suter's Le Laudi with the choir of St. Boniface, led by Gabriel Dessauer. In Bach 2000, he starred in Bach's St. Matthew Passion, in which the double chorus with the two boys' choirs Hannover Boys Choir and St. Thomas Choir was busy, which was passed in celebration of 50 years of Hannover Boys Choir of Heinz Hennig. In 2006 he sang the Evangelist in Bach's Christmas Oratorio with the Dresden Kreuz Choir and the Dresden Philharmonic, conducted by Roderick Kreile in the Holy Cross Church. He was the Evangelist in the St. Matthew Passion at the Festspielhaus Baden -Baden on Good Friday in 2007, directed by Martin Haselboeck, with Stephen Salters, Lynne Dawson, Robin Blaze and Klaus Mertens. "Especially Andreas Karasiak failed to impress in the demanding role of the Evangelist, who mastered the fine line between Berichtston and emotional involvement outstanding.", Christoph root wrote. In 2009 he appeared in the Market Church in Wiesbaden in a concert performance of Handel's Solomon with Andreas Scholl and the Schiersteiner Kantorei. October 31, 2009 Dorothee Mields and Andreas Karasiak were the soloists in the first performance of the Requiem black before his eyes and there was light by Harald Weiss by the Hannover Boys Choir with the NDR Symphony Orchestra. In 2010 he sang with the Wiesbaden boys' choir in Handel's Messiah in the Market Church, next to Elizabeth and Andreas Scholl. In 2011 he played the title role in Monteverdi's Il ritorno d' Ulisse in patria at the Opera House Münster. Ursula Decker Bönniger wrote: " Andreas Karasiak explores restrained between action and dramatic outburst the different feelings of Odysseus vocally from ". In 2012 he sang the role of Jonathan in Handel's Saul in the final concert of the choir Schiersteiner to their 50th anniversary in Kloster Eberbach, with Christian Immler in the title role.

Karasiak rarely took listed operas, such as Handel's Lothario, Domenico Cimarosa's Gli Orazi ei Curiazi, Gluck's L' innocenza giustificata, Haydn's The conflagration and Schubert's Singspiel The four-year post and the twin brothers.

Karasiak teaches singing at the Academy of Music in Mainz and master classes.
