Andreas Klöden ( born June 22, 1975 in Mittweida ) is a retired German racing cyclist.

Shortly after his birth his family moved to the United Schacksdorf in Forst ( Lausitz), where he grew up. His cycling career began Klöden at the SG Dynamo forest and was delegated from there in 1989 at the Children's and Youth Sports School in Berlin, where he - like Jan Ullrich - coached at SC Dynamo Berlin.

Professional with Team Telekom

He began his professional career in May 1998 with Team Telekom, later T-Mobile Team. There he was primarily as a sporting helper (water carrier ) by Jan Ullrich worked to the private connects him a close friend.

Doping allegations

In spring 2008, Klöden was accused by an article in the Süddeutsche Zeitung of doping.
