The 5000 -meter run of the women at the Olympic Games 2012 in London was held on 7 and 10 August 2012 at London's Olympic Stadium. 36 athletes took part.

There were two heats, in which the five best starters, and even the five fastest qualified for the final.

The directly qualified runners are light blue, the highlighted light green over time skilled.
