Botswana at the 2008 Summer Olympics
Botswana participated in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing for the eighth time at a Summer Olympic tournament. Overall, the team consisted of eleven athletes in three sports. Flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the swimmer Samantha Paxinos.
Two athletes Botswana could be placed in the top eight. The boxer Khumiso Ikgopoleng eliminated in the quarterfinals to eventual Olympic champion Enchbatyn Badar - Uugan from Mongolia. The runner Amantle Montsho finished in eighth place finish in the 400-meter run.
