Bratronice (Strakonice District)

Bratronice ( German Bratronitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-west of Blatná in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Bratronice is located on a hill between the rivers Brložský creek and Bratronický creek in the hills Blatenská pahorkatina. The village is surrounded by numerous ponds, one of which Pazdernik, Trávnický rybnik that Líkovka, the Kovašín, the Nahošín that Řežabina and Velky rybnik are greatest. To the north rises the Holý vrch ( 571 m), to the east of the Na Borkách (554 m) and northwest of the Pětnice ( 587 m).

History

The first written mention of Bratronice took place in 1227 as a possession of the monastery of St. George at Prague Castle. In the 14th century a Vladikensitz, the first of traditional owners was 1361 Mikuláš Bratronice of the year was born. He was followed by Čeněk Bratronice, Bedřich of Bratronice and his widow Kateřina. This sold the estate in 1397 to Mikuláš of Kestřany. In 1840 the estate had an effective area of ​​2265 fathoms 1251 Quadratjoch. It included the villages Bratronitz, Gindřichowitz ( Jindřichovice ) Katowsko ( Katovsko ) and Střebohostitz and eight houses of Čečelowitz and a house of Nahoschin ( Nahošín ) with a total of 656 Czech-speaking inhabitants, including three Israelite families.
