Krty-Hradec

Krty - Hradec, until 1997 Krty ( German crt, 1939-45 Mullheid ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers northwest Strakonic in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Strakonice.

Geography

Krty - Hradec is situated in the hills of Blatenská pahorkatina. The village lies in the valley of the Kolčavka ( Rissowsky ) to the ponds Hradecký rybnik and Veský fishpond. It consists of two through the dam between the two ponds connected spatial locations: Krty fishpond on the west bank of the Veský or Krtský rybnik and Hradec fishpond on the north bank of the Hradecký. North-east rises the Brezový vrch ( 571 m ) in the east of Tisovník ( 589 m), southeast the Rysová ( 527 m) and the Kuřidlo, in the south the Babina (434 m) and Šibenice (443 m), southwest Kněží the hora ( 493 m) and in the north- west of the Haj (535 m). History

Hradec

On the Hradec was during the middle hillfort time between 800 and 950 a Slavic settlement, which probably served to protect the castle Kněží hora on the Otava as an outpost for its exposed hillside. The archaeologist Bedřich Dubský could substantiate this in the 1920s by ceramic finds in the village square of Hradec.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hradec formed in 1850 a part of the community Michov in the District Commission and the Court of District Strakonice. 1885 burned in Hradec six houses from 1889 and again three. Hradec and Krty dissolved going on in December 1919 by Michov and merged to form the community Krty. During the German occupation the village was awarded the German name Biirgel. Krty

The first written mention of Kirti was in 1243, when Bavors I. Strakonitz of the village together with Lom, Ptákovice, Miloňovice, Radošovice, Libětice, Mutěnice and Sousedovice and the Church of Sts. Prokop and a house in Strakonice donated to the St. John 's Hospital in Prague. His wife left the Dobislawa at the Church of Sts. In the census of 1991 153 inhabitants and 66 houses were counted in the community. Since 1 July 1997, the municipality bears the name Krty - Hradec. In the 67 houses of Krty - Hradec lived in 2001, 129 people. In 2008, the municipality had 121 inhabitants.

North of the village of crystalline limestone is extracted in a vast quarry.

For the community Krty - Hradec no districts are reported. Krty - Hradec consists of the local documents Hradec ( Hradetz, 1939-45 Biirgel ) and Krty ( crt, 1939-45 Mullheid ).

The same as the municipality Katastralbezirk bears the name Krty u Strakonic.
