Geographical location

Breitbrunn am Chiemsee is located in Southeast Upper Bavaria.

On the north shore of Lake Chiemsee located on moraine hills of the Chiemsee glacier in the last ice age, Breitbrunn also has the longest shoreline of all neighboring communities. History

Breitbrunn am Chiemsee is demonstrably one of the oldest settlements on the Chiemsee. Even before about 6000 years ago, there were people on the north shore of Lake Chiemsee.
