Buildings by Peter Missoni

The Italian architect Peter Missoni wore in the early years of Bruckmuhl much to furthering the community. Building as the inn Thurmaier (now host bridge ), the Thurmaier villa, the Dorrerhaus (now Gallery Bruckmuhl market ), the Stucco House (former Convent of the Poor School Sisters ), as well as the old parsonage were works by Missoni.

He was like an architect and construction manager, so mainly Italian guest workers were employed in the construction of stylistically striking building. Missoni worked in the tradition of his father, who was also an architect in Bruckmuhl.

One of the most interesting buildings Bruckmühls probably the Bohemian house, which was also designed by Missoni. Jacob Böhmer the builder of the house decided to build a very solid house to survive the floods as the Mangfall in flood virtually unscathed. The house is almost square and shows many stylistic elements of the renaissance. It is clearly evident, the classic shape outline. Quite striking is the first floor, because this was very beautifully decorated from the outside. It was also the noble floor ( piano nobile ). The variety of triangular and arched gable windows give the house a unique recognition. With an elaborate facade completes the Attica under the roof. Back in the house was a royal Bavarian gendarme station. A few years ago the house was again restored very nice from the outside and now serves as a multi-family house.
