Buenos Aires Philharmonic

The Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires (English: Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine orchestra based in Buenos Aires. It was founded in 1946 and is also the resident orchestra of the Teatro Colón, the main opera house in Buenos Aires. Current music director and principal conductor is Enrique Diem corner.

History

The Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires in 1946 as Orquesta Sinfónica del Teatro Municipal: founded (German Symphonic Orchestra at the City Theatre ) and gave his first concert on May 21, 1947 The first conductor was Lamberto Baldi, and was succeeded by Jaime Pahissa. . 1948 changed its name to the orchestra Orquesta Sinfónica de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Tours

The orchestra has been three European tours conducted: 1992, 1994 and 1996 have included tours of these stations. Germany, England, Spain, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium and Austria. Venues were, inter alia, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Barbican Centre in London and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
