World Car Awards

The award World Car of the Year, Car of the Year German, French Prix mondial de la Voiture de l' année is oriented to the world market. It was awarded in February 2005 for the first time. About 50 journalists from 25 countries to assess cars that are sold on at least two continents. Later Awards in the categories of Performance Car, Green Car and Car Design were introduced. In the categories Green Car and Car Design special experts draw up a shortlist. Car of the Year Japan

The existing since 1980 annual award Car of the Year Japan or Japan Car of the Year ( JCOTY ) is used by journalists for Japanese vehicles. With the Japan Import Car of the Year, the imported vehicles from other countries will be awarded.

RJC Car of the Year

Since 1992, the Automotive awards Researchers ' and Journalists' Conference of Japan ( RJC ) also awards annually in the Car of the Year for Japanese models, and since 2001 also for imported models as Import Car of the Year.

Korean Car of the Year

Canadian Car of the Year ( CCOTY )

The award will be given for various categories each year since 1985 from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada ( AJAC ). Journalists test in different teams every year up to 180 vehicle models after 21 separate assessment parameters, including acceleration, braking, driving dynamics, agility, safety and boot volume and on the model, off-road capability.
