Carina Bär

Carina Bear ( born January 23, 1990 in Heilbronn ) is a German rower.

Bear began in 2005 with the rowing. At the Junior World Championships in 2007, she met with Julia Lepke in the double sculls, but finished due to cramps in the second half of the course only fifth place. The following year, she won the German Junior Championships and one quadruple sculls and also U23 vice champion was in one. At the Junior World Championships in Ottenheim she won gold in this class of boat.

2009 won Bear at the German U-23 Championships in the one at the U23 World Championships she reached the A-final and won bronze. In the fall, she launched along with Lepke at the European Championships in Brest, the team finished in the double sculls seventh.

2010 bear became German Vice Champion in One and was then first used in the World Cup. In Munich she won along with Britta Oppelt, Tina Manker and Stephanie Schiller, the A-final in the quadruple sculls. In the final World Cup in Lucerne, she finished with Oppelt, Manker and Julia Richter in this boat classes in third place. With the same team bear was then in Montemor -o -Velho European silver medalist at the World Championships in New Zealand, they won bronze. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012, she won together with Britta Oppelt, Anne Katrin Thiele and Julia Richter in the quadruple sculls silver medal. A year later, at the World Rowing Championships 2013 in Chungju, they won gold.
