Kathrin Boron

Kathrin Boron (born 4 November 1969 ironworks city) is four -time Olympic medalist and eight -time world champion in rowing.

She lives in Schwielow ( district Caputh ) and is a single mother of one daughter. Due to their multiple Olympic victories (all in the double scull or sculls ) it is mentioned in the same breath as Elisabeta Lipa, Marnie McBean and Ekaterina Karsten. In 1992 she was awarded a Bambi. With the 2008 Olympics, she has finished her active career. A year later she was honored during the Rowing World Cup in Lucerne from the International Rowing Federation with its highest award, the Thomas Keller Medal, for their ausgewöhnlichen rowing career.

  • Eight -time World Champion in 1989, 1990, 1991, twice in 1997 ( in the quadruple sculls and two ), 1998, 1999, 2001
  • Five times Vice World Champion 1993, 1994, 2003, 2005 and 2007.
