Castelbelforte

Castelbelforte is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3108 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Mantua in Lombardy. The municipality is situated approximately 21 km west-northwest of Mantua and directly borders the province of Verona. Through the town flows the Scolo Essere.

History

The place was in the early Middle Ages, even the name Castelbonafisso. Around 1680 the present name is then detected.
