Moglia

Moglia is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5808 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Mantua in Lombardy. The municipality is situated approximately 27 km south-southeast of Mantua and about 32 kilometers north- west of Modena. Moglia is immediately adjacent to the provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Emilia -Romagna). East of the town is limited by the Secchia.

History

The place Moglia is first mentioned in documents in 1327. The district Bondanello is even mentioned in 1193.

Traffic

The municipality was formerly on the railway line from Rolo Mirandola. The track was never used. Through the village leads the former Strada Statale 413 Romana (now a provincial road ) of Cerese to Modena.
