Corey Potter

Corey Potter ( born January 5, 1984 in Lansing, Michigan ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since March 2014 for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Corey Potter began his career as a hockey player in the U.S. National Team Development Program, for which he to 2002 American Hockey League and United States Hockey League was active from 2000 in the junior leagues North. Then he attended for four years, the Michigan State University, for their hockey team he was parallel in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association active. During this period, the defender in the NHL Entry Draft, was selected in the fourth round as a total of 122 players in 2003 by the New York Rangers. For their farm team Hartford Wolf Pack, he played from 2006 to 2010 in the American Hockey League. In his first year as a pro, he also came to 43 inserts for the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL. For the New York Rangers himself he stood in four years but only in eight games in the National Hockey League on the ice.

On 16 July 2010, Potter was hired as a free agent by the Pittsburgh Penguins. In the 2010/11 season he played only one game for the NHL team and was instead stem strength in their AHL farm team Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. For the following season, he was taken by the Edmonton Oilers under contract, in which he belonged at first to the guide players in the NHL team.

During the NHL lockout in 2012 Potter went to Europe and played for the Vienna Capitals in the EBEL. In March 2014 he came across the Waiver to the Boston Bruins.

Internationally

For the U.S., Potter took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2002 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2004. In both tournaments he won the gold medal with his team.
