Décastar

The Décastar is an international athletics meeting in Talence, France. It first took place in 1976 and is held annually since 1986. Men compete in the decathlon, women's heptathlon. The Decastar is part of the IAAF World Combined Events Challenge.

In 1992, the future Olympic champion Dan O'Brien in Talence with 8891 points, a world record in the decathlon in which nearly seven years had stock. 2004, the decathlon was once included in the program also for women. Marie Collonvillé achieved with 8150 points in this rarely exercised by women discipline a world record, which, however, was already exceeded in the following season.
