Delamare-Deboutteville

Delamare - Deboutteville was a French manufacturer of automobiles.

Edouard Delamare - Deboutteville and his assistant Leon Malandin developed in 1883 an automobile which was patented on February 12, 1884. It was powered by a four-stroke gasoline engine. During the first test drive the truck broke apart. 1887, the experiments were terminated. The vehicle had no effect on the development of other motor manufacturers, and it is not regarded as the first automobile history.

A replica of the vehicle was to visit the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris.
