Soncin

Soncin was a French manufacturer of automobiles. In the literature, there is also the notation Soncin.

Company History

Louis Soncin founded the company in 1899 in Poissy for engine production. 1900 began automobile production. The brand name was Soncin. In addition, he made engines, which he sold other car manufacturers, among others at Hautier and Ouzou. On August 25, 1902 came along with Jean -Pierre Grégoire on the name change in Soncin -Grégoire et Cie. On October 8, 1902 Soncin resigned from the company. Grégoire named it shortly afterwards in order Automobiles Grégoire. Other sources indicate that Soncin traded as Émile Ouzou et Cie and was one of Emel Cuzon et Cie.

Rolling stock

On offer was a small car. For the drive was provided by a single-cylinder engine from our own production with 4.5 hp. The vehicles could accommodate two people. In addition, tricycles were produced, which were also used in auto racing.
