Company History

Charles Jeantaud founded the company in 1893 in Paris for the production of automobiles. The brand name was Jeantaud. 1906 production ended with the death of Charles Jeantaud.

The company initially made ​​exclusively manufactures electric cars. The choice was open bodies, coupés and Hansom Cabs. From 1905 possessed the vehicles via the front wheels. A vehicle took part in the 1895 car race Paris -Bordeaux-Paris. In addition, record-breakers created for hunting on the land speed record, the driver Gaston de Chasseloup - Laubat was able to win three times.

Between 1903 and 1904, the company introduced also petrol vehicles here. The choice was between a two-cylinder engine with 12 horsepower, three- cylinder engine with 18 horsepower and a four-cylinder engine with 24 hp.
